2011-2012 School Show Options
(These options are for schools only. For other customers such as

Donald Dunphy’s Silver Package “Fun Magic Show”
The Fun Shows are ideal for a variety of school events (assemblies, end of year celebrations, start of year celebrations, special events, fun fairs, picnics, etc). The Silver Package is a 30-minute show, with lots of amazing magic and fun, comedy and audience participation, with no stage illusion. I’m happy to plan a new show for repeat customers.
Donald Dunphy’s Gold Package “Fun Magic & Illusion Show”
The Gold Package is a 45-minute show, with more amazing magic and fun, comedy and audience participation, and also FEATURES ONE LARGER STAGE ILLUSION as a part of the presentation. A stage illusion is a large-scale trick involving a person. For example, one of the more popular illusions I present is floating a student in the air (volunteer whom I select from the audience). I’m happy to plan a new show for repeat customers.
Donald Dunphy’s Platinum Package “Family Night Magic & Illusion Show”
A highlight for your school year, the Platinum package is a 60-minute show, with lots of amazing magic and fun, clean comedy and audience participation, and also features two larger stage illusions. I’ll float a student in the air, and I’ll perform the guillotine illusion with the Principal or favorite Teacher. This will help increase attendance at your event. This show is the perfect solution, because it’s a family fun night for the whole family to enjoy together, as well as a fundraiser. When run as a school fundraiser, your school can raise $750, $1000, or more for that special project with minimum effort, and no door-to-door selling. Or the same show can be run, charging little or no admission, and used as PAC sponsored family fun night or school reward event. Call for information and tips on how to make this a big success!
Donald Dunphy’s “Magic of Learning Show”
The Magic of Learning Show can help reinforce the fun of learning to your grade K-6 students. The content of the message is really aimed at grades 3-6, but the younger students will enjoy the show just as much and will likely understand most of the ideas being shared. This 45-minute fun & educational learning-themed magic show uses magical object lessons to illustrate an easy-to-remember learning formula, consisting of 5 “P-Attitudes”: “Participation” (learning requires working together), “Patience” (learning requires time), “Perspiration” (learning requires hard work), “Pay Attention” (learning requires listening skills), and “Persistence” (if at first you don’t succeed – try, try again!) This show is designed to help activate your students to be more enthusiastic towards the learning process.
Donald Dunphy’s “Happy Holiday Magic Show”
The “Happy Holiday Magic Show” is an adaptation of my popular “Fun Magic Show” (Silver, Gold, or Platinum), but packed with Christmas-fun themed magic, so it will fit the holiday theme of your December event or assembly! I perform themed magic tricks featuring Christmas trees, candy canes, stockings, Santa, elves, snowmen, reindeer, etc.

High marks for Donald Dunphy's School Shows
“...lots of fun for all who attended, both young and old...”
“On behalf of Torquay Elementary School's parents, kids, and staff, I would like to thank you for a great evening of entertainment. The evening proved to be such a successful fundraiser and family night event. We really appreciated you taking the time to promote the event prior to the evening at our school assembly. This had such a positive effect that we had sold out for the event. In addition to a sell out, we also made money on the concession that evening. With your generosity of giving a percentage of what was sold that evening, we too benefited. In summary, the evening was lots of fun for all who attended, both young and old. It was a great way to have a fun fundraiser / family event and we raised more money than we expected. Working with you has been a pleasure and your professionalism was great. We would certainly want to have you again in the future for another event. Take care and we looking forward to meeting you again.”

“…You captured all of their attention…”
“Your performance, delivered to approximately 160 students ranging from Kindergarten to grade 7, was wonderful. You captured all of their attention. You used magic, stories, audience participation and humor to entertain the audience. It is often difficult to cater to such a diverse group but you did. Our grade 7's enjoyed your show as much as our Kindergarten students. I, along with our staff, was impressed with your skill and professionalism. I would definitely recommend your show to others. In addition to enjoying the show I liked how organized you were. You had support materials ready for distribution, set up and take down were done quickly, you were pleasant and easy to talk to and you were prepared to entertain for the full time - no down times.”
- Larry Dean (Principal), Chase River Elem. (SD#68)
“…helped us raise $1380…”
“A huge thank you to you for coming out to our school and performing your "Evening of Magic" for us. Your incredibly fun and entertaining show helped us raise $1380 towards our Playground Fundraising goal. All of the children and parents had a wonderful time, it was one of our most memorable family events. Some of the best memories will be of the kids favorite substitute teacher being a part of the very exciting guillotine illusion, one of the students being levitated and the lucky few who were chosen to be volunteers in your show! As the PAC coordinator for this event I just want to say it was a pleasure working with you. The amount of time and effort you put into this event for us was crucial in making it such as success. I would highly recommend your show to anyone who is interested.”

“…children commented that it was the best magic and illusion show that they had ever seen…”
“Your Magic of Reading Assembly show was a great treat for all of the students and teachers. Many of the children commented that it was the best magic and illusion show that they had ever seen. The professional show was well organized and kept our students amazed. Watching the teacher get cut in half was the highlight for many students. Thank you for being able to weave the joy of reading into your wonderful magic and illusion show.”

“...the perfect blend of professionalism and fun...”
“Thank you very much for performing at our school and providing us with a wonderfully entertaining 'Evening of Magic' that raised $755 towards our Playground Replacement Fund! It was a pleasure to work with you and I felt you were the perfect blend of professionalism and fun both in your show and in your organizational details. The children, parents and staff thoroughly enjoyed your show and it made a lasting impression on all who attended. I can honestly say it contributed immensely to the success of the 2007/08 school year. Everyone especially liked the audience participation segments and the special illusions with our Vice-Principal and our very lucky kindergartner who levitated!”
- Lisa Woo (PAC), Hillcrest Elem. (SD#61)
“...your enthusiasm for magic and for literacy clearly showed...”
“Your 'Magic of Reading' show turned out to be quite entertaining and covered many of the basics such as fiction and non-fiction, types of stories, author and illustrator, letters make words make sentences, and more. I particularly enjoyed your storytelling with illusions and tricks to support the story. The children and staff totally enjoyed themselves and most of the books on magic we had on the shelves are now out. The presentation looked quite professional and your enthusiasm for magic and for literacy clearly showed. I highly recommend your show to other schools in our district and have sent an email to all our teacher-librarians in that regard.”
